By downloading, installing, or using Sweather ("the app"), you agree to these Terms of Use. If you do not agree, do not use the app.
Description of Service
Sweather provides sport-specific weather scores on a scale of 1 to 10, calculated from weather forecast data. The app evaluates weather conditions every 15 minutes for up to 25 sports, using weighted factors, ideal ranges, and dealbreaker thresholds tailored to each sport.
Weather Data Disclaimer
Weather scores are informational only. Sweather is not a safety tool. Weather forecasts are inherently uncertain and scores are based on algorithmic calculations from third-party data sources.
- Do not rely on Sweather for safety-critical decisions
- Always check official weather warnings from your national meteorological service before outdoor activities
- A high score does not guarantee safe conditions — use your own judgment
- Weather conditions can change rapidly and may differ from forecasts
Acceptable Use
You agree to use Sweather for personal, non-commercial purposes. You may not:
- Reverse-engineer, decompile, or disassemble the app
- Redistribute, sublicense, or resell the app or its content
- Use automated systems to scrape weather data through the app
- Attempt to circumvent any access restrictions or security measures
Intellectual Property
Sweather, including its scoring algorithm, personality engine, visual design, and all content, is the intellectual property of Rob Mulder. The Sweather name, logo, and "No excuses. Just scores." tagline are trademarks of Rob Mulder.
Third-Party Services
Sweather relies on third-party weather data providers including Open-Meteo, Apple WeatherKit, Buienradar, and Bright Sky. These services are subject to their own terms and availability. We are not responsible for the accuracy, availability, or reliability of third-party data.
In-App Purchases
Sweather may offer premium features via in-app purchases. Purchases are processed through Apple's App Store and are subject to Apple's Standard EULA. Subscriptions auto-renew unless cancelled at least 24 hours before the end of the current period.
Limitation of Liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, Sweather and its developer shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising from your use of the app. This includes, but is not limited to:
- Injuries or damages resulting from outdoor activities undertaken based on weather scores
- Inaccurate weather forecasts or scoring calculations
- Service interruptions or data loss
- Third-party service failures
Availability
We strive to keep Sweather available and functional, but we do not guarantee uninterrupted service. We reserve the right to modify, suspend, or discontinue the app at any time without prior notice.
Changes to These Terms
We may update these Terms of Use from time to time. Changes will be reflected in the "Last updated" date above. Continued use of the app after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated terms.
Governing Law
These terms are governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the Netherlands. Any disputes shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts in the Netherlands.
