Sweather does it for you.

You signed up six months ago. The race is on the 14th. You've already checked the weather forty times. Sweather pins the race and watches the forecast for you. The home card auto-reorders to the top within 24 hours, the widget shows the latest score, and a transition alert fires the moment a dealbreaker (thunder, severe wind, extreme heat) enters the window.

Beyond 16 days there is no useful forecast. Every weather app that pretends otherwise is lying to you. So Sweather shows you a 10-year climate average for that exact date and location: the typical temperature range, the prevailing wind direction, the probability of rain. Useful planning data instead of fake precision.

What Race Day actually does

🎯

Per-slot scoring

Every 15-minute slot of your race window gets its own score. See the dip when the gust front rolls in, the peak when it clears.

📊

5-year history

What did this race date look like over the last five years? Average, range, extremes, all pulled from the ERA5 reanalysis.

📡

Ensemble bands

How stable is the forecast? p10/median/p90 ranges from the Open-Meteo ensemble model show you the uncertainty.

Dealbreaker alerts

Thunder, gusts above 60 km/h, heat above 32°C, hard frost. Sweather tracks all of these and updates the score the moment they appear.

Common questions about race weather

How far in advance can Sweather forecast race weather?
Sweather applies forecast-driven scoring inside 16 days. Beyond that it shows a 10-year climate average for that exact date and location, so you have something useful even six months out. As the race approaches, the climate model is replaced by the actual forecast.
Does Sweather show historical race weather?
Yes. Every Race Day shows a 5-year history of conditions on that calendar date at that location (temperature, wind, precipitation), so you know what to expect statistically, and how unusual this year's forecast looks by comparison.
Will Sweather warn me about dealbreakers?
Yes. The moment a dealbreaker (thunder, severe wind, extreme heat, hard frost) enters the forecast window for your race, Sweather flags it on the home card and updates the score. Forecast confidence bands (ensemble p10/p90) show how stable that forecast is.
Is Race Day a premium feature?
Yes. Race Day is part of the Sweather premium subscription, €9.99/year with a 1-month free trial. Unlimited races, all 47 sports, widgets, Apple Watch complications and Live Activities included.
